The EU-funded SwitchMed/MED TEST III project is offering an intensive one-week introductory training on the TEST methodology to up to 20 professionals from the fields of process engineering; optimization; environmental management; and energy efficiency. Implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), in partnership with the Palestinian Ministry of National Economy (MoNE), the Environmental Quality Authority (EQA) and the Palestine Federation of Industries (PFI), the MED TEST III project supports industries to produce more resource efficient, more cost-efficient and with a better environmental performance. Click here for further details about the scope of MED TEST III in Palestine.
Following the training and an exam, the most successful professionals will receive a contract to carry out also an on-the-job training and support the demonstration of the TEST methodology in a local industry under the framework of the MED TEST III mentorship programme. The training will be delivered by recognized international experts, including one of the authors of the TEST methodology.

The methodology builds around the complementing RECP tools – Cleaner Production Assessment, Environmental Management System (EMS) and Material Flow Cost Accounting (MFCA) and can cost-effectively identify the most relevant areas of improvement based on the type of business.
