The Switchers Products, the new online platform for sustainable products and services is finally available!
This platform, developed by the Regional Activity Centre for Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP/RAC) and supported by the European Union through the SwitchMed Programme, is completely free and easy to use. It displays the green entrepreneurs’ sustainable products and services, including those of The Switcher Community, as well as some information about the item, the profiles of the producers/service providers, details on their business and their contact in order to reach them easily.
For the consumers, The Switchers Products is the place to find good quality products and services that have been verified before they were made available on the platform and are guaranteed as sustainable.
For the green entrepreneurs, The Switchers Products is the place to ensure visibility to their sustainable products and services and to be in contact with potential consumers.
On top of that, the SwitchMed programme will ensure to promote all the products and services uploaded on the platform through marketing campaigns, and it will hire a professional consultant to attract retailers and corporate buyers with the main aim to facilitate them the purchase of the products and services of the platform.
The platform is structured in different sections and its products and services are divided according to their categories (textile, furniture, construction, tourism, etc.) and countries. The Switchers Products is integrated in TheSwitchers.org platform, which provides the users with a wide range of services to improve their green and circular businesses. It belongs to the Switchers Support Programme, thus contributing to the achievement of several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely:
SDG 12 – Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
SDG 13 – Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
SDG 14 – Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources.
SDG 15 – Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, and halt land degradation and biodiversity loss.
SDG 17 – Revitalise the global partnership for sustainable development.
For any green entrepreneur who would like to include their products/services in the platform, simple and short guidelines have been developed.
