Capitalizing on the results and lessons learned from Phase I, Phase II is structured with three main components:

1. Direct support to the private sector (implemented by UNIDO and MedWaves);
2. Creation of an enabling policy environment (implemented by UNEP and MedWaves);
3. Coordination, networking and communication (implemented by UNIDO and MedWaves).

Phase II is expected to see an increased number of green businesses activities, enhanced competitiveness of the private sector through the adoption of resource efficiency production strategies, and a more cohesive and enabling policy environment for a green and circular economy in the southern Mediterranean countries.
